When rivals put their heads together for a common purpose, only good can emanate from it, and that is what transpired when the go getters from the formidable New Dimensions and Secra’s Carnival band sat together at the commencement of the new millennium to charter a new touch into St. Lucia’s premier festival no other than St Lucia carnival. A new Band, Mas Action was born in the year 2000 and baptized in 2001 as the revelers merrily meandered around the crowded streets of Castries with a membership of approximately 250 strong jumping and dancing to the pulsating sounds of the Triset Musical Band.
MAS Action Carnival Band has been awarded prizes in all categories and is the only St Lucia carnival band to win the prestigious Band of the Year title for three consecutive years twice. Firstly in 2003, 2004 & 2005 and was not given the title in 2006 when it more than ever deserved it according to public opinion. MAS Action came back and again captured the title in 2007, 2008, 2009 and remains undefeated in 2010.
Mas Action now dubbed “LIME MAS Action ... The Band” again continues the journey to success and can only do so with the continued support of LIME, Carib, Joseph's Shipping and lots of the sponsors which are featured in the Sponsors Section.
Ah! Did we forget the hard working executive, mas camp crew and section leaders? Never! Let us name them then.
